Actress Amala Paul is now a married woman having just walked down the aisle and said "I do" to director AL Vijay on June 12. The marriage was celebrated by her fans and many in the media and afterwards she went with her husband to the Maldives to celebrate her honeymoon.
While on her honeymoon she decided to share some pictures on social media of her and her husband enjoying the Maldives. She received many notes of congratulation but it seems that some Internet 'trolls' decided to try and ruin the celebration by posting some abusive comments on her social media pages and this is where the problem began.
Obviously the foolish Internet trolls did not know how popular Amala Paul is because her fans quickly lashed back at the comments and soon an online Internet brawl ensued. The Indian acting beauty upon becoming aware of what was taking place quickly deleted the honeymoon pictures.
Some entertainment insiders noted how it is unfortunate how a small minority can negatively impact the interaction fans have with their stars but it also showed how immensely popular Amala Paul is as an actress and this is something that filmmakers all over India are noticing closely.
Her fans became incensed at the Internet trolls and immediately jumped to her defence. It has some entertainment insiders looking at her upcoming film "Velai Illa Pattadhaari' and the recent success of the Dhanush-Amala Paul trailer for the film and thinking that her presence might have had an even bigger impact than suspected in its highly successful launch on YouTube which received more than 40,000 hits.
Amala Paul's honeymoon social media issue seems to show that she might be an even bigger Indian film star than she is given credit for.
