Following months of rumours and suggestions as to which actress should be cast in the role of Captain Marvel in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it was finally announced that The Room actress Brie Larson had been cast in the role, which seemed to sit perfectly fine with the comic book movie fans around the world.
Since then, Brie Larson has been doing plenty of research for her role as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel, reading the Captain Marvel comic books, and it seems that she likes what she has been reading. Brie has now opened up about reading the Captain Marvel comic books, insisting that she is loving the character arc right now.
Larson explained, "I feel a great responsibility. I have so many conversations with fans about the universe and this character in particular. I’m grateful for social media for that, actually — it’s such a great way to connect with people, to understand what it is they love about this character, what it is they hope to see. Where this character’s at in the comic books is such an inspiring space right now. I’m so grateful to be part of it."
Brie Larson will make her big screen debut as Captain Marvel in the movie Avengers: Infinity War, which is set to hit the big screen on April 27, 2018 in the UK and on May 4, 2018 in the US. Following that, Brie will then star in her own Captain Marvel solo movie, which is aiming for release on March 8, 2019 in both the US and the UK.
