With the movie Bad Teachers soon to be released Cameron Diaz talks out about her thoughts on why marriage and children just aren’t for her.
Shortly following her split from her baseball playing boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez, Cameron Diaz has spoken to reporters about her lack of desire for marriage or children. Diaz said to a reporter while doing press for the upcoming movie Bad Teachers that "Marriage hasn't been important to me. I believe we are with who we're supposed to be when we're supposed to be with them.” She then when onto say "If I try and lock something down, I miss out on all the possibilities of what it could be."
When Diaz was further pressed on the subject it moved onto children, of which she had a revealing amount to say, she said "You can't have a child just because you think it's something you're supposed to do. It doesn't make sense for everyone it's not an absolute for me... I don't care what other people think. It's my life; I live it the way I want to."
These revelations come fast of the back of what has been a fairly revealing month for Cameron Diaz, who only just announced last month she was dating Alex Rodriquez even though the signs were more than obvious as they were consistently together for the past 12 months. Sources close to the star cite the reason for the split was that it had “naturally ran its course” and there was no ill feeling between the pair.
