Danica McKellar is winning the attention of entertainment fans ranging from teenage girls to parents with her new Netflix show “Project MC2” in which she plays the head of a secret super spy intelligence agency called NOV8 who is also the mom of the main character. She gives the kids their missions in which they must use their brains to complete the missions which works in conjunction with her goal to help empower girls to know that “smart is the new cool” (Access Hollywood – August 21).
Th ex-Wonder Years star, a math advocate for young girls, has been on a mission to show young girls that they do not have to ‘dumb themselves down’ and that they can be trendy and fashionable and smart. She has been promoting her new show and her belief by appearing on various talk shows such as Access Hollywood looking fabulous while explaining that young girls can have it all in terms of being fashionable, sexy and smart and how it makes a person more in control of their life and gives them confidence.
Her ‘gospel’ is making her a favourite of parents on social media and likely some teenage girls as she gets to play a ‘badass’ Charlie similar to the Charlie of “Charlie’s Angels” in her show “Project MC2” while at the same time is taking away the fear and stereotypes associated with girls not being able to be smart, math savvy and stylish.
Some fans on social media think that this attractive actress could help further her case that 'smart is the new cool' by playing a math beauty who is a sexy love interest in an action-adventure or crime-drama on the big screen as this would show teenage girls that men love intelligent, sexy women.
The new best friend of parents and role model for teenage girls: Danica McKellar.
