British actor Daniel Radcliffe became a household name around the world when he was just a young boy, thanks to landing the role of Harry Potter in the hit movie franchise, which has opened up a number of doors for the actor. Since the Harry Potter movies came to an end, Daniel has taken on roles in a number of unusual Indie movies, some good, some not so good.
His new movie Swiss Army Man was eagerly anticipated by fans all over the globe, who were interested to see how this interesting story, of a man stranded on a desert island who becomes friends with a washed up corpse, would play out on the big screen. Well, after screening its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival 2016, it seems that this is the weirdest Indie movie that Daniel Radcliffe has been involved in today.
Many people were seen leaving the screening of Swiss Army Man very early on, with more following as the movie continued. While there was a certain level of depth to the story, touching on morality and the meaning of life, it seems that this message was ruined by the constant fart joke, which got old very quick, as well as the corpse having a constant erection. What could have been a cleverly done movie turned out to miss the mark by quite a long way.
Following the flop that was Victor Frankenstein last year, we were hoping to see Daniel Radcliffe back on form with Swiss Army Man but it just was not the case. We are all for top actors taking on Indie projects but, in this case, it seems that Daniel made a bad choice. Let's hope he can pick things back up with his future projects.
