There are a lot of hugely talented British stars in Hollywood these days and it seems that pretty much all of them just keep impressing us more and more, and not only with their acting talents. British actor Eddie Redmayne has enjoyed a huge rise in the acting industry over the past few years and while his acting talent is unquestionable, it is his work off camera that has impressed us recently.
Eddie Redmayne grew up in London and lived with his parents, while he was trying to make it in the early days of his acting life. However, Eddie understands that some people do not have the privilege of their parents living in London, so he has helped some of them wit their struggles, by agreeing to pay their rent for them. How amazing is that?
Redmayne spoke to GQ magazine, when he revealed, "The greatest privilege that I had was that my parents lived in London. So when I was out of university and out of work for a year, working in a pub, I didn't pay rent. And I get letters from people trying to go to drama school and needing to pay their rent. And so that's something I occasionally do. It's impossibly expensive to live in London."
As far as his acting career is concerned, Eddie Redmayne can currently be seen on the big screen, starring in the new movie The Danish Girl, for which he has received rave reviews. The movie boasts a very impressive cast, including Alicia Vikander, Amber Heard, Ben Whishaw, and Matthias Schoenaerts, while Tom Hooper directed the film.
