British singer and songwriter Ellie Goulding has revealed how she never used to think that she was any good at singing, so did not take it seriously. Ellie says that she wishes she had realised sooner and taken up music on a more serious note when she was a little bit younger.
Goulding told Grazia, "I wish I'd pursued music a little earlier and taken it more seriously. I didn't believe I could sing or would go anywhere. There is nothing I'd change. Not even travelling around, because if I was at home, I'd be moaning that I wasn't on the road. I'd be wary to change anything."
She added, "I read more than I watch TV. I feel relaxed when I sit down in my flat because it's such a rare occurrence. If I'm there, I start to feel peaceful again. I can never chill out for long because whenever I try to sink into obscurity, something else comes up. It's been pretty constant for about four years."
Ellie Goulding has had a successful music career to date and is currently enjoying further success, as her new single Burn sits top of the iTunes chart. Meanwhile, Ellie Goulding's new album Halcyon Days will drop on August 26.
