It feels like every year we see a model go from being a relative unknown to a household name around the world in a matter of a few months, all because of one specific event. We saw it happen with Kate Upton following her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue covers, then last year we saw it with Emily Ratajkowski following her naked dancing in Robin Thicke's music video for Blurred Lines.
Since that music video landed, Emily Ratajkowski has seen her career take off in a big way, landing a role alongside Ben Affleck in the new David Fincher movie Gone Girl, as well being cast in the Entourage movie, while she has also made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue debut. Emily has now opened up about her career, admitting that she wants to be taken seriously as a Hollywood actress.
During a recent interview, Ratajkowski explained, "When you’re working with director David Fincher (The Social Network, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) people definitely do take you seriously. I want to establish myself [in the industry] and there are a few things that’ll be announced in the next few months that will balance everything out."
You can catch Emily Ratajkowski, starring alongside Rosamund Pike and Neil Patrick Harris, as well as Ben Affleck, in the David Fincher movie Gone Girl, which will hit the big screen on October 3 in both the US and the UK. Following that, Emily will play herself in the Entourage movie, which is currently filming and will open on June 12, 2015. We look forward to seeing what else Emily Ratajkowski will appear in over the coming years.
