Now that we are full aware of Warner Bros. and DC's intentions, in regards to their comic book movies, we can begin to get even more excited than ever before, with plenty to look forward to over the coming years. One of the most anticipated comic book movies heading our way, is the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film, which will introduce a number of DC characters to the big screen.
One character that fans have been calling for over the years, is that of Wonder Woman and fans finally got their wish, with Wonder Woman making an appearance in the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice movie.Unfortunately though, the fans were disappointed to learn that Gal Gadot had been cast in the role, with many insisting that her boobs were too small to play Wonder Woman. Gal has now hit back at the critics, insisting that she is loving every minute of being the character.
Gadot explained, "Don’t be shy. They said that I was too skinny and my boobs were too small. [Laughs] I’m really lucky nothing in my life was instantaneous. When I was younger I would take criticism really hard. But now it mostly amused me. The true Amazons had one boob so it won’t bother them in their archery. So it’s not going to be like real Amazons. We always try to make everyone happy but we can’t."
She added, "Playing Wonder Women is a once in a lifetime opportunity. I can’t describe to you how much I wanted to play this character without even knowing I wanted to play her. I don’t want to play a damsel in distress that needs to be saved. I don’t like it when women in the movies are shown as the victims. I always thought that if I could send out a message I want to show the strong side of a woman and how she can handle tough situations. Yes, I get to play the strongest most empowering woman ever – Wonder Woman. I’m so grateful and I thank god every day. I want to devour it and enjoy every bite."
While we were not overly excited about Gal Gadot laying Wonder Woman, we believe that everyone deserves a fair chance and we look forward to seeing just what Gal Gadot brings to the role. We still have quite a wait though, as Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice does not hit the big screen until March 25, 2016.
