With the amount of aging actors that there are in Hollywood these days, there is no shortage of talent for Sylvester Stallone to choose from for The Expendables 3. Sly already has a number of big names stars in the cast and, just last week, he confirmed that Harrison Ford had joined the cast of The Expendables 3.
Many assumed that Harrison would take on the role of Church, following the departure of Bruce Willis but it has since been confirmed that he will play a new character. With The Expendables 3 set to begin shooting in a few weeks time, Harrison Ford has admitted that he was excited to be a part of the franchise.
Ford was chatting to Access Hollywood, when he told them,. "[It's] great. [It's] exciting! It's fun." And Harrison Ford is not the only new face to join the cast of The Expendables 3, as it was also confirmed that Mel Gibson and Antonio Banderas will also appear in the film.
Sylvester Stallone previously claimed that he was looking to add some youth to the cast of The Expendables 3, as he wants to eventually had the franchise over to some younger faces, in a bid to keep it fresh and exciting. However, with the amount of old faces in the movie, it will take some work to get rid of them all.
The Expendables 3 opens on August 15.
