Hollywood actress Imogen Poots has enjoyed a fairly successful career to date, playing a number of interesting characters, in a number of interesting movies, giving us some impressive performances along the way. Imogen will next be seen on the big screen in the Jimi Hendrix movie, titled Jimi: All Is By My Side, and the beautiful actress has spoken about how proud she is of the project, as well as talking about her future in the industry.
Poots was chatting to the guys over at ComingSoon.net, to promote her new movie Jimi: All Is By My Side, when she told them, "You know, I can certainly say for sure that this movie is so important to me, both emotionally and artistically and all those things. I found it an extremely fulfilling experience and that's what you look for in any project."
She added, "The size of the movie is certainly irrelevant, it's more what's the material that you're working with and I think going forward, in terms of doing bigger films, like absolutely on board doing something if it's right and if it feels right to be doing it artistically. There may well be some limitations with that beyond the size of the film, so it's taking that all into account I think."
As well as starring Imogen Poots, the movie Jimi: All Is By My Side sees Andre Benjamin in the role of Jimi Hendrix, with a supporting cast including the likes of Hayley Atwell, Burn Gordon and Ruth Negger, among others. Jimi: All Is By My Side is written and directed by John Ridley and has been doing the film festivals for the past couple of years. The movie will open in the US on September 26, before then hitting the big screen on October 24 in the UK.
