With Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice finally being released this week, talk has already moved ahead to the future movies coming our way from DC and Warner Bros., including the upcoming project Aquaman. It is expected that we will get to see actor Jason Momoa making his debut as Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, before then going on to star in the Justice League films, as well as his own solo movie.
There have been a lot of fans who are very excited to finally get to see Aquaman appearing on the big screen, with Jason Momoa getting the backing of a lot of people, including the DC Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns. Geoff has now opened up about Jason Momoa playing Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe and he has admitted that he is very excited to see it finally taking place.
John was at the premiere for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, when he said of the Aquaman film, "It’s massive [seeing Aquaman on the big screen]. Jason [Momoa] and I were talking about Aquaman and I love that people underestimate the character."
He then went on to add, "I feel like hopefully we’ll be able to share the love that we have as readers of the character because the jokes about him are fun, but he’s got so much depth to him, no pun intended. It’s really great to see him finally on the big screen."
While we know we are going to see Jason Momoa as Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and both of the planned Justice League movies, it is the standalone Aquaman film that we are most excited about seeing, with the movie set to hit the big screen on July 27, 2018.
