Twenty-nine year old, Jessie Ware has up until early 2013 had been trying to establish herself as a journalist by following her father, who was a reporter at BBC for many years of her life. Her path all changed when her old friend, Jack Penate, who is now a success in music his self, came into contact with Jessie once again.
After being around Penate and his band, the guitarist of the band introduced Jessie to London electric producer, Aaron Jerome. The producer decided it would be a great idea to see how Jessie was at singing and featured her on a single and two tracks from his album SBTRKT, which gave way to the limelight for young Jessie. She began to work more intently with music afterwards. Shortly after making her own debut, when Jessie's solo single "Devotion" made the top five in the U.K. charts, she became very close to winning the Mercury Prize. She released an album in the United States in April 2013 and is trying to become a hit here as well.
Her music shows influence in contemporary electronic experimentalism as well as 1980s vintage R&B. Her songs are far from predictable though, while her lyrics depict true adult situations in a positive way. Her music is something different that will be set apart from other songs and albums. She is now preparing to do a cross-country U.S. tour and plans to do her best to make her name known in the U.S. music industry.
Her songs may show up in U.S. music charts soon. Determined, Jessie Ware shows no signs of backing down when it comes to her newly found career. The United States will soon know a new name in music!
