While the Twilight movie franchise was one of the biggest movie franchises ever, making household names of the young stars involved, it has always been shrouded in negativity. Actress Kristen Stewart has received more than her fair share of negative comments over the years and Kristen has stated that she has learnt to cope with the critics and does not expect any praise.
Stewart was chatting to The Hollywood Reporter, when she said, "I've taken so much s**t that I'm just like, 'I'm not the winner!' I'm not gonna be let down when I don't get the pat on the back. I'm totally used to the kick in the ass. I've never, ever been like, 'One day, I'm gonna win an Oscar'. Truly, my 'one day' was always, 'I'm gonna be a director! One day, I'm gonna direct movies!'"
With that said, Kristen Stewart has received a huge amount of praise for her role in the movie Clouds of Sils Maria, with the talented actress giving a fantastic performance in her supporting role for the film. Kristen gave such a fantastic performance that she landed herself the Best Supporting Actress gong at the Cesar Awards, which are considered the French Oscars, much to the delight of the actress.
Stewart added, "Oh, man, it blew my head off, to be honest. I couldn't believe that I got nominated, and then obviously I really, really couldn't believe that they gave it to me, because those people rigidly dole out praise, especially to Americans. It felt really good."
Fans of Kristen Stewart can see her performance in Clouds of Sils Maria, when the movie opens on limited release in the US on April 10, before then going on to hit the big screen in the UK on May 15.
