The career of actress Kristen Stewart has certainly been a very interesting one to watch over the years, with plenty of highs and lows along the way. Kristen has always been a talented actress, impressing way back in 2002 in the movie Panic Room, starring alongside Jodie Foster. However, her involvement in the Twilight movie franchise led to many people questioning her acting ability, with a lot of negative comments directed at her but, it seems like all that just might be about to vanish.
Kristen Stewart recently gave a very solid performance in the movie Still Alice, which saw Julianne Moore landing the Best Actress Oscar for the film. Now, it looks like Kristen is set to win over even more doubters, with her performance in the new movie Clouds of Sils Maria, which saw Stewart become the first ever American actress to win a Cesar Award, the French equivalent of the Oscars, showing that she is finally riding herself of those Twilight critics.
While plenty of you would have already heard quite a lot about the movie, Clouds of Sils Maria has been officially described as, "A veteran actress comes face-to-face with an uncomfortable reflection of herself when she agrees to take part in a revival of the play that launched her career 20 years earlier," which really does play out well on the big screen, with Kristen Stewart shining along the way.
You could say that it is quite surprising that Kristen Stewart steals the show in Clouds of Sils Maria, since the stunning and hugely talented star Juliette Binoche leads the way in the film. Meanwhile, the rest of the cast includes Chloe Grace Moretz, and Johnny Flynn, among others, with Clouds of Sils Maria being written and directed by Olivier Assayas.
Make sure that you check out Clouds of Sils Maria, if only to see how far Kristen Stewart has come since her Twilight Days, and how much she has grown as an actress. We have no doubt that you will be as impressed by her performance as we were.
