While Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio was considered quite a pretty boy in his younger years, there is no denying that he has always been an extremely talented actor and has always managed to pick his projects well. Leonardo has taken on some very impressive roles over the years, in some very exciting movies and it looks like there are plenty more to come.
It was recently revealed that Leonardo DiCaprio would take on the lead role in the new Martin Scorsese movie The Devil in the White City, which focuses on the life of Dr H.H. Holmes, who is referred to by many as America's first serial killer. Many feel that this could well be the project that will finally see Leonardo bagging himself that elusive first Oscar win, which he has long deserved.
During the course of his acting career to date, Leonardo DiCaprio has been nominated for five Academy Awards, missing out on the Oscar on every single occasion, with many people suggesting that the Academy have an issue with the actor. With that said, it looks like Leonardo DiCaprio could well get an Oscar nod for his new movie The Revenant and, if he misses out on that, we are sure that The Devil in the White City could be a huge success.
Leonardo DiCaprio and Martin Scorsese have already worked on five different movies in the past, with all of them proving very successful, so The Devil and the White City is likely to follow suit. Billy Ray has been working on the screenplay for The Devil in the White City, based on the non-fiction book by Erik Larson, with a release date still to be determined.
Do you think Leonardo DiCaprio will ever win an Oscar?
