With there being so many different Marvel comic book characters getting their own standalone movie these days, fans are still desperate to see the Hulk getting a solo movie that he deserves. Unfortunately though, do to some issues over the rights of the character, Marvel are apparently not allowed to make any more Hulk solo films, which means they need to find ways to work his story into the other projects in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Actor Mark Ruffalo has been giving us some impressive performances as Bruce Banner aka the Hulk and he has teased a kind of Hulk trilogy taking place within the MCU over the course of the next three films. Mark says that his character will get a story arc which will cover the three big Marvel movies, starting with his story in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok and ending with The Avengers 4.
Ruffalo was recently talking about the future for his character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, when he confirmed, "So basically, Kevin [Feige] pulled me aside before this, and said, 'If you were gonna do a... if we were going to do a standalone Hulk movie, what would it be?' And I said, 'I think it should be this, this, this, and this and this, and ends up like this.'"
He added, "And he's like, 'I love that. Why don't we do that in the next three movies, starting with Thor 3 and then we go into Avengers 3 and 4.' And I was like, 'That sounds great!' And so we are at the beginning of this arc."
