There are some actors in the movie making industry who manage to make a great impression on their co-stars while on the set of a movie. One such star is Tommy Lee Jones, who plays the role of General MacArthur in the movie Emperor. Co-star Matthew Fox has spoken about the movie, admitting that he was very impressed with Tommy.
Fox explained, "I felt that there was no other actor I could imagine playing MacArthur. MacArthur is such an iconic military figure for Americans in the 20th Century and so I really felt that he was the perfect guy to play him and was going to bring a gravitas to that role. I really enjoyed it."
He continued by adding, "He came at the end of the shoot so we had shot a huge portion of the film, and it was really like MacArthur was showing up in our world."
Emperor opened on limited release in the US earlier this year but does not hit the big screen in the UK until October 4. As well as starring Matthew Fox and Tommy Lee Jones, the Emperor cast also includes Eriko Hatsune, Toshiyuki Nishida, Masayoshi Haneda, Kaori Momoi and Colin Moy.
