Hollywood hunk Matthew McConaughey has been working in Hollywood for many years now and, while there was a time when he was once considered a bit of a laughing stock, the actor is now regarded as one of the best actors in the business. As well as letting his acting talent shine through, Matthew has also become one of the hottest men in the world, with women all across the planet swooning of the hunk.
However, Matthew McConaughey stars in the upcoming new movie Gold, which sees the actor taking on a rather different look, so much so that he is almost unrecognisable. In the new film, Matthew plays a character who is balding and overweight, showing that he is not afraid to do whatever it takes to play a role he truly believes in.
Gold has been described as, "the true story of the dirty battle to control a massive gold deposit that was supposedly discovered in the jungles of Indonesia in 1983. The Bre-X mining scandal hit headlines across the world when it was discovered that billions of dollars of gold had gone missing. The gold was eventually discovered to have never existed and the huge fraud case led to the collapse of the Canadian company in the biggest mining scandal of all time."
As well as starring Matthew McConaughey, the rest of the cast of Gold includes such top Hollywood names as Edgar Ramirez, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rachael Taylor, and Toby Kebbell, among others. Gold has been directed by Stephen Gaghan, based on the screenplay developed by Patrick Massett and John Zinman, with the movie set to hit the big screen on January 27 in the US and February 3 in the UK.
