The Marvel Cinematic Universe has become absolutely huge over the course of the past few years, with plenty of characters being brought to the big screen, while they have also expanded the universe onto the small screen with the television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which is approaching the end of its first season and has grown week on week.
There has been plenty of talk about which characters from the big screen we would see making an appearance in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and we were all very excited to learn that Jaimie Alexander was going to reprise her role as Thor character Lady Sif for the show. Now, showrunner Maurissa Tancharoen has opened up about getting to explore the character deeper than the Thor movies.
Maurissa explained, "It's really exciting for us to be the ones who allow audiences to get to know her a little bit more. In the Thor movies she's one of the players, but here, she has many, many scenes with our characters. Seeing the way she interacts with them, and also knowing her perspective, and why she's here, and her moral compass -- that was very fun, to be able to dive into that."
There were mixed feelings about Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. during the first few episodes of the series but, as the season has gone on, the show has really found its feet and is becoming a great show to watch. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season one continues to air on ABC on Tuesday evenings at 8/7c.
What do you think of Jaimie Alexander's Lady Sif being in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?
