Michelle Williams has been a busy woman lately - in addition to raising her 7-year-old daughter Matilda, she has been promoting her latest film 'Oz: The Great and Powerful' as well as prepping for her next role. Williams has finally confirmed what has long been rumored, that her next film will be 'Suite Francaise'.
Williams was recently interviewed by Paper Mag, where she spoke about her involvement with Suite Francaise. She confirms that she will be starring in the film adaptation of the Suite Francaise novel, which focuses on a 'French peasant girl falling in love with a German commander occupying her home.'
She admits that she was gifted the book a long time ago and when asked about her role, says, "[It's all about] forbidden love. I like the story because it's a heroic story and I feel like those are always worth telling."
Williams also admits that she doesn't have time for anything else right now, and other than prepping for the project, all of her attention has been on raising Matilda. She says that raising Matilda has been the 'ultimate' creative act, and it's her 'center' project. Other than Suite Francaise, which is in pre-production and is listed as releasing in 2014, Williams doesn't have anything else lined up.
