Lauren Cohan is currently filming a lead actor role in the thriller movie 'The Boy' and she has the attention of some entertainment observers and film industry professionals as an actress with the potential to become a leading lady star on both the small and the big screen.
The interest in her from filmmakers is not only because of her stellar acting ability shown in the hit television show 'The Walking Dead' but also is due to some recent comments she provided 'People Magazine' when she revealed that maybe part of the reason she is so good in thriller projects is because she is actually a "scaredy-cat" and prefers not to watch scary television shows or movies. As such, when she plays a part in this type of movie there might be a little more 'realism' to her acting because she actually possesses some of the fears her character needs to convey (People Magazine - March 8).
The gorgeous English beauty seems to really enjoy being able to play the gritty, tough, 'roll around in the dirt' character of Maggie Green in 'The Walking Dead' as it allows her to play a role that is far removed from her normal life and enables her to be 'someone else' for nine months of the year and yet each day leave that character at the set.
One thing she will not be able to leave behind or hide from is the fact that her stellar acting on 'The Walking Dead' has made her an actress who film insiders consider a potential Hollywood big screen leading lady star.
In 'The Boy' she is part of a film that is similar to 'The Walking Dead' in that it is a thriller project and there is speculation that if this "Scaredy-Cat's" performance in 'The Boy' is of equal or greater quality as that of her performance on her tv series 'The Walking Dead' than one of the 'new' situations Lauren Cohan will have to deal with is being recognized as a Hollywood leading lady star on both the small and big screen.
