There was delight for comic book fans around the World, when news broke that Robert Redford was appearing in the upcoming Marvel movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Robert has spoken about his character in the film, revealing a rather key point about his role.
While Robert had previously confirmed that he will play the head of S.H.I.E.L.D., it seems that his character will end up being one of the villains of the movie. Redford told The Straits Times, "I like the idea of playing a villain... I did that just because it's a different thing for me to do."
Captain America: The Winter Soldier already has plenty of villains in the movie, including Sebastian Stan as the Winter Soldier, Frank Grillo as Brock Rumlow aka Crossbones, Georges St-Pierre as Georges Batroc and Toby Jones returning to his role as Arnim Zola.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier sees Chris Evans returning to the role of Steve Rogers aka Captain America, while Scarlett Johansson is back as Black Widow and Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson aka The Falcon. Captain America: The Winter Soldier opens on April 4, 2014 in both the US and the UK.
