We have seen a lot of stars coming over to Hollywood from the UK, after making a name for themselves on the hit British television show Hollyoaks and, while some of these stars have had to go crawling back with their tail between their legs, there are others who have actually gone on to enjoy success in Hollywood, whether it be on the big screen or the small screen.
One such star, who made a name for herself on Hollyoaks before then deciding to make the move to Hollywood, is actress Roxanne McKee, who has enjoyed relative success in Hollywood. Roxanne previously played the role of Doreah in the hit HBO fantasy drama series Game of Thrones and she now plays the role of Claire in the Syfy series Dominion, with the actress comparing the two shows.
McKee was chatting to The Hollywood Reporter, when she explained, "When I was doing Game of Thrones, though, there was so much care and consideration to the project, and I feel like that’s the same attitude they have about this, to come out with a really fantastic show that everyone’s really proud to be a part of."
Talk then turned to the future of her character Doreah in Game of Thrones, as the last we saw of her she was being locked in a vault, with fans presuming that she had been killed off. Roxanne added, "[Laughs.] Yes. Presumed to be. There was talk of going back at some stage, but I think that will be knocked on the head now."
As well as starring Roxanne McKee, the rest of the Dominion cast includes the likes of Christopher Egan, Tom Wisdom, Luke Allen-Gale, Shivani Ghai, Rosalind Halstead, Anthony Head, and Alan Dale, among others. Dominion aired its season one finale last week and it will be interesting to see if the show gets picked up for a second season.
