Welsh football legend Ryan Giggs turns 40 today and he has revealed what he has planned for his big day. Ryan says that he will try to avoid going in to training today, as he is a little worried by the pranks that his Manchester United team mates have planned.
Giggs told The Independent, "I'll be glad when it is over. It is obviously a milestone but I try not to think about it much - and I honestly don't until people remind me. I don't know if the lads are planning anything - but I'm not going in [to Manchester United's Carrington training ground] just in case. I'm going to stay in bed."
Meanwhile, his Manchester United team-mate said, "I am going to have to see what he is eating and copy everything that he is doing. He is 40 years old and it is ridiculous to be playing at this level, but he must have been very lucky with his genetics."
Ryan Giggs is the most decorated player in the history of the English game, as well as holding the record for the most appearance ever made by a Manchester United player. Despite being 40, Giggs looks like he is capable of going for a few more years yet and we hope he does.
