Mexican actress Salma Hayek first burst onto the Hollywood scene with her very memorable role in the movie From Dusk till Dawn, featuring that unforgettable table dancing scene. Since then, Salma has gone on to enjoy a long and successful acting career, bagging herself an Oscar nomination along the way, for her performance in the movie Frida.
While a lot of Hollywood stars would give anything to have enjoyed the success that Salma Hayek has, the actress has once again admitted that her work does not come first. Salma, who is married to French billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault and has a six-year-old daughter, Valentina, says that all the success she has had as an actress would mean nothing if she did not have a happy family to support her.
Hayek was being interviewed by Hello Magazine, when she explained to them, "I wouldn`t have had a fulfilling life if I hadn`t been able to start my own family. Being a good wife and mother is what matters to me most. Nothing gives me greater happiness than seeing the smile on my daughter`s face."
As for her acting career, Salma Hayek currently has four movies in production; Sausage Party, Everly, Love Like an Englishman, and Il racconto dei racconti, as well as a further three films in development; Septembers of Shiraz, The Krostons, and A Three Dog Life, while she will also work as a producer on the planned television series Wicked.
Meanwhile, Salma Hayek has also lent her voice to a character in the upcoming animated movie Khalil Gibran's The Prophet, which also features the voices of Liam Neeson, John Krasinski and Quvenzhané Wallis, and featured at the Cannes Film Festival last month.
