As the years continue to roll by, and we continue to get more and more new Marvel movie characters coming to the big screen and getting their own solo movie, it begins to feel more and more unlikely that we are ever going to get to see a Black Widow solo movie, despite the fact that everyone involved wants to see the project being made.
Actress Scarlett Johansson plays the role of Black Widow and she has said time and again that she would love to star in a Black Widow movie, while Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has also stated that the character would be perfect for a solo project, with the fans wanting it to happen. Scarlett has once again spoken about a Black Widow movie, insisting that she hopes it could still happen in the future.
Johansson said, "We’re creatively really compatible. I think we both agree that the character is right for a standalone, it’s just a case of timing at this point for both Marvel and myself. If I did it, I would dedicate myself completely to making it amazing. It would have to be the best version that movie could possibly be. Otherwise, I would never do it. Its own style and its own story. There’s a lot of great stuff that you could do with it."
Scarlett Johansson will next appear on the big screen in the role of Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow, in the new Marvel movie Avengers: Infinity War, which is set to open on April 27, 2018 in the UK and on May 4, 2018 in the US. Unfortunately, we cannot see a Black Widow solo movie getting made any time in the near future.
