Well the Oscars 2015 has now come to an end and we now know which stars have taken home an Academy Award to put up on their trophy shelf and talk now turns to what was successful during the ceremony and what was considered a miss. We thought that, as a whole the Oscars 2015 was a fairly successful evening, although Neil Patrick Harris did an average job as host and there was one thing that was really disappointing.
The Oscars 2015 ceremony was going very well and things were running very smoothly but then someone had the very bad idea of deciding to put in a live performance of the Lego Movie song Everything is Awesome, which really just took away from the occasion, bring things down quite a few notches and really feeling very out of place.
There was something very amateurish about the performance of Everything is Awesome and it is something that you would expect to see get rejected by the judges on America's Got Talent. We felt that the performance took a lot away from our Oscar buzz and it was hard to pick it back up after that. British funny woman Katy Brand said it reminded her of "Watching Top of the Pops in 1992" which pretty much hit the nail on the head.
What did you think of the live performance of the Lego Movie song Everything is Awesome at the 87th Academy Awards? Did it ruin the night for you or did you actually enjoy it?
What were your highlights and lowlights of the evening as a whole?
