There have been a lot of young and talented stars who have come up through the ranks at the likes of Disney and Nickelodeon, before then going on to enjoy plenty of success either in the music industry or on the acting scene, or in some cases both. When it comes to the extremely talented young woman Zendaya, she is one who loves to mix her music career with her acting talents.
When it comes to the acting side of things, Zendaya has a role in the new Marvel movie Spider-Man: Homecoming, where she will take on the role of a character named Michelle. Many people have suggested that this is just a cover up and that she will actually be Mary Jane Watson, but Zendaya has been talking about her character, teasing what we can expect from her in the new movie.
Zendaya was recently chatting to MTV, when she explained to them, "My character is 100 percent Michelle, that’s her name, I promise I’m not lying. She’s definitely a different character. This is a character I can have fun with and just really create what I wanted to make her and the director a lot of really cool ideas about how to make her weird and interesting and cool. She says weird things at the wrong time, but that’s why people like her."
British actor Tom Holland reprises his role of Peter Parker aka Spider-Man for his first solo outing as the web-crawler, with Spider-Man: Homecoming set to hit the big screen on July 7 in both the US and the UK.
