There has been a lot of talk surrounding Hollywood actress Ellen Page and her new movie Freeheld, especially since the actress decided to come out as gay before shooting the movie, as she felt it was only fair to the project. Ellen is very passionate about the new film and she has been heaping praise on her co-star Julianne Moore, who plays her lover in Freeheld.

Page told Good Morning America, "When you're trying to make this movie happen and then Julianne Moore says yes to playing Laurel, I mean, you kinda know your movie's gonna get made. She is one of the most special people you could possibly meet. You rarely meet people who are as generous, so deeply kind, protective. I feel so grateful that she's now in my life. She's really, really an extraordinary person."
We assume that a lot of you will already be aware of the plot of Freeheld but, for those of you wanting to know more about the project, it has been officially described as, "New Jersey police lieutenant, Laurel Hester, and her registered domestic partner, Stacie Andree, both battle to secure Hester's pension benefits when she is diagnosed with terminal cancer."

As well as starring Ellen Page and Julianne Moore, the rest of the Freeheld cast includes the likes of Steve Carell, Michael Shannon, Josh Charles and Luke Grimes, among others. Freeheld has been directed by Peter Sollett, based on the screenplay developed by Ron Nyswaner, with the movie being released earlier this week in the US.
