Welsh wizard Gareth Bale became one of the most expensive players in football history, when he joined Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur, with a whole host of other top clubs interested in snapping him up. It is no secret that Manchester United were interested in signing Gareth Bale when he was at Spurs and it looks like they could be set to reignite their interest in the talented star.

Gareth Bale was a huge player for Tottenham Hotspur
Things have not exactly been going great for Gareth Bale at Real Madrid, with the fans of the Spanish giants not taking to his style of play and constantly getting on his back. It seems very unfair that they would treat the player this way, since he has performed fairly well for Real Madrid, scoring 36 goals in 78 appearances in all competitions since joining the club.
Gareth Bale has even helped Real Madrid to win the Copa del Rey, the FIFA Club World Cup, the UEFA Super Cup, and the Champions League, so all the criticism aimed in his direction does seem very unnecessary. However, when the Real Madrid fans fall out with a player, it is usually just a matter of time before that player is shown the exit and there is already one club waiting to pounce.

Gareth Bale has not made a great impression at Madrid
It has been claimed that English giants Manchester United are ready to test Real Madrid with a big Summer offer for Gareth Bale, with it believed that they would almost recoup all of the money they paid Tottenham Hotspur for the player. Whether or not Gareth would want to join Manchester United is a different matter all together but it looks like his Real Madrid days could be numbered.
