There was once a time when Patrick Stewart was known as the X-Men character Professor Charles Xavier but, following the decision to do prequel movies to that X-Men trilogy, actor James McAvoy has now taken over the role and has made it his own. During the first couple of X-Men prequels, we saw Charles Xavier with a full head of hair but, following the events in X-Men: Apocalypse, James now has to shave his head for the role.

With James McAvoy expected to continue in his role as Professor X for a few more movies to come, he is going to have to keep shaving his head for every film, something which he is clearly not a fan of. James has been talking about going bald for the new X-Men movies and he has admitted that he is not exactly a fan of doing so.
McAvoy explained, "I used to like the fact that it afforded me a certain amount of anonymity but it no longer does that. Since I did two movies that everybody saw where I had a bald head, now it’s like a fucking beacon. But what do I like about it? Not a lot at the moment. I like when it’s been about five or seven days going in, then it’s cool but when it’s properly skinhead I look a bit weird. I do like the fact that I don’t have to do anything in the morning."

The next time we will see James McAvoy in the role of Charles Xavier will be in the new movie X-Men: Dark Phoenix, which is set to hit the big screen on November 2, 2018.
